Firefox – This is a short form of the popular web browser, Mozilla Firefox, that is a free and open source software created by the Mozilla Corporation and some external contributors. Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux are all supported by this cross-platform browser.
Flash & Intro Pages – MacroMedia Corp. developed a technology called Flash that makes it easy to insert interactive multimedia into web pages. As a result, a number of websites choose to begin with an animated first page, called an ‘Intro Page,’ that is developed by using Flash and incorporates interactive multimedia features like sound, animation, etc.
Forums – A community of like-minded individuals congregate on the web on what is known as Forums. The prime aim is to exchange information, post messages, and hold discussions; and these activities are visible to all forum members. Conversations between forum members are linked by threads that can be traced and one can read how a particular topic progresses and who contributed what.
Frames – This term refers to a page that is part of a website and which has two components: one part of the page scrolls to provide information; the other part remains static to indicate the parent site and share certain common info. Such pages cannot be bookmarked; these pages are also not search engine-friendly and do not lend themselves to search engine marketing either.
Frameset – A webpage that only comprises frames is called a Frameset.
