Unique visitors – There is a feature that maintains count of the number of individual users who have accessed your web site. This is referred to as Unique Visitors.
URL – Another terminology that means the same as a web address, the acronym stands for Uniform Resource Locator and indicates aspects such as the location of a web page, an email address, or a file on an FTP server.
Usability – The term refers to the user-friendly aspect of a web site; i.e., how easy it is for the user to interface with the site or perform an action or task.
User agent – This refers to the name of the browser/spider that is currently visiting a page. For example, "Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.google.com/bot.html)"
User Generated Content – Users can create and publish content online; this facility is called User Generated Content (USG). This may be in the form of a video, podcast or posting on discussion groups, blogs, wiki's and social media sites. USG facilitates wider participation by enabling users to share their opinions online.
User session – Just like Unique Visitors, users accessing the Internet leave a footprint regarding the length of time and number of pages visited. Typically, a user session is considered closed after a specified period elapses.
